Washington DC Self-guided Tours & Rentals

We had a great time playing the Escapely Adams Morgan game. We particularly enjoyed the sculpture garden portion of the game. We found the game to be a challenging yet reasonable difficulty overall, and we liked that the experience was self-paced. We're looking forward to trying another Escapely game soon!

It was a seamless process, the instructions and riding the boat was very easy. We were treated well by the tour guide. I’d do it again!

My husband and I rented two E-bikes for four hours. So thankful to have chosen this mode of travel for our venture in DC. So much to see and a lot of ground to cover. Alex was kind and very helpful for us being first timers. It was simple to learn and use. It was very hot that day and riding the bikes created a welcomed breeze throughout our trek. Just Do It!

Our daughter gifted us with the National Mall version. I was raised 4 m. from the White House, but you included places I had never explored. My wife and I teamed up on this game on our 50th anniversary. One of the highlights for us was the Navy Memorial and the newish museum adjacent to it. Thank you.Steve Bailes

EASY PICKUP: - Open 24/7 - Game was available next day after order - Accessibility: No steps, nor entryway lip/threshold to enter; pull door without automatic door openers (relatively accessible to wheelchair users)EASY TO MODERATE DIFFICULTY: 5/10 (we are avid escape room users, so we found this to be pretty easy, but still fun)TONS OF FUN: We loved that it made us notice hidden gems or new details of familiar places. We even learned some history. Several of the clues were very clever. It was the best of escape rooms and scavenger hunts combined!TIME TO COMPLETE: About 2 hours and 15 minutesACCESSIBILITY: Videos had transcripts.This may be difficult to enjoy for players who are blind or low vision. Though the clues can potentially be read by screen readers or other teammates, many clues require you to scan the external environment visually to look for clues. This could still be done with assistive tech of course, but is simply something to consider. The envelopes in the box were also only differentiated visually, and contain visual information.One person in the group needs to know how to use a QR code and have a device that can access the internet and the QR codes. It may also be helpful to have access to Google Maps.Most locations were mobility accessible with curb cuts that have rumble strips, sidewalks, and ramps to enter.There are 6 steps without railings, nor high contrast to differentiate them, to enter Kalorama Park from Columbia Rd. However, if you take the entrance from the intersection of 19th St and Kalorama Rd, there appears to be a ramped entrance.There were plenty of places to find shade and a few places where you could sit on a bench or wall. Would not have a lot of cover from rain or snow.

What a SPECTACULAR experience we had with our Escape Room adventure in Georgetown. Eight of us (ages 21y - 59y) spent almost three hours on the day after Thanksgiving, and had the best time. The clues were hard, but not so hard that you didn't believe you could figure it out and each one of us contributed that ah-ha moment when a clue clicked. We even ran across another group with the box clutched to them playing the game. And they were also having a blast! Bravo to this company for making an elegant, interesting, and thoroughly compelling experience. Did I already say how much FUN it was! We have already ordered several more games in other cities to give to family across the country. Well played Escapely, well played.

Customer service was amazing. They made the process so east and gave us great directions for our adventure.

Easy pick up from bike rental. Bikes and accessories in good condition. Whole day 9am- 8 pm pass was very good value. Definitely the best way to get around to see all the national monuments.

Loved riding the bikes around DC was a great way to see a lot of the monuments! The pick up was easy and quick! The seats on the bike however were not very comfortable so be prepared for a sore behind!

Highly recommend this if you’re trying to do something different. My husband and I (after 30 years of marriage) decided to do an “A-B-C…” theme date and the Arlington Adventure scavenger was our first date. It was perfect and we would love to get a bunch of friends together and do it again.

Really enjoyed the tour, especially the well organized path that didn't waste steps. The variety of topics and fun stories made me feel like I knew the Kennedys. Great dad joke included, too.

Really enjoyed this self paced tour. 2.5 mile walking loop, just enough to leave us wanting more and tired out simultaneity.

The Boat was clean, the staff was patient and helpful. We enjoyed our time thoroughly! Definitely will see us again!

This is what you make of it. They take a little bit to get you on but it wasn’t anything crazy like 10 minutes or so. We didn’t show up early we just showed up on our time but we also came back like a couple minutes after the time so it wasn’t that big of a deal. It wasn’t hard to use the boat after like 15 minutes you kind of get the hang of it.I recommend you game plan and bring drinks snacks etc and a speaker. Have a time and enjoy it and take lots of cute pics.
