Washington DC Hop-on Hop-off Tours

Great day. All drivers were very knowledgeable about historical people and events, helpful and also funny!

It was a raining day. Sit in a high bus under a hood and listen to the guide is a good way to have a over look of the city I came the first time.

I had a really good time on the bus. The drivers are very knowledgeable and funny. I learned so many things by a i didn’t know about our nations capital

Devaughn was so helpful, he went out of his way to help our family. We’re so grateful our paths crossed! Beverly was so sweet!

This was a great way to get around to a lot of sites without having to walk so much. I did appreciate that they picked us up at a stop that was close to our hotel instead of making us go the starting point. We had 3 different narrators but each of them were good and were very friendly. The transfer to the Arlington shuttle went very smooth and they did a great job also. The shuttle in Arlington gave us a really good overview of interesting facts about this cemetery and made 4 stops to allow us to get off and visit the most iconic grave sites. We even got to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. That was very moving. It was definitely a worthwhile activity, especially if you only have a day or two to visit DC.

Pleasant tour that was made entertaining by the driver / tour guide. Enjoyed the historical factoids.

This is a great way to get around the Arlington National Cemetery and learn about the history behind it. Seeing the "changing of the guard " at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier was a very moving experience. And there are so many notable people interned there.

Mr. Kareem, our tour guide literally 'saved the day' for me and my family on this tour! Our original tour guide never showed up at our 'designated pick up' spot. I called the DC Touring co., and they told me that because we were "late" (despite the fact that we were there 30 minutes early), we would be "unable to go on the tour that day." So then I called Cool Washington DC, who managed to find a replacement tour guide (Mr. Kareem) within 20 minutes. Mr. Kareem was fantastic...he took us everywhere we wanted to go. He let us stay as long as we wanted to see the site. It turned out to be a wonderful tour of Wash. DC, instead of the 'nightmare' it could have been for us. I give credit to Cool Washington DC for acting so quickly to find another tour guide...I especially give credit to Mr. Kareem, our "back up" Tour Guide for turning what could have been a 'disaster' into a day of lifetime memories for me and my family. Thank you Mr. Kareem...You are the BEST (IMHO).

Sharia was my second driver. In comparison to the other drivers, she was awesome. She made sure everyone was safe and seated. She was helpful with young families. She made sure that all knew what stop we were at . She was a big reason for having a positive experience!

Met at Union Station. It was easy to find. The driver was funny and commented about the crazy cyclist. The drivers directed us to other places in the area of each stop. Not crowded in late September.

Start early in order to be able to make all the stops especially if you have only one day for the tour.

Plan your day by getting to Union Station SUPER early! We drove around the parking garage nearly 30 minutes before finding a spot. However, the tour was amazing! We did not get to do the Cemetery, which I did pay extra for, due to running out of time. We started the tour at 10:30, and got on the last trolly at stop 15 at 4pm. I wish there was a two day ticket available. However, the Guides were great! And we enjoyed seeing so many of the places.

Quick over view of DC. Unfortunately when we were there the Mall was blocked by a grandstand used for the RAF and there were detours due to the security measures in place. I would choose this again when it was all accessible.
