Top things to do in Washington DC in Summer (Updated September 2026)

Dwayne and Godfrey were fantastic. We were so impressed with Dwayne's vast knowledge of the area and it's history, was great to hear about the context behind the architecture and about the sculptors and their motivations to create.

Dwayne was our guide and Godfrey was our bus driver. This your exceeded our expectations. Godfrey has a very engaging way of conveying a huge amount of information about the historical context behind when each of the monuments were built, even what materials they were built of, who the designers were and a lot about the architectural design. My favorite stop was at the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial. Dwayne gave us information about how young he was when he earned his doctorate and quickly took leadership in the Civil Rights Movement. It was so impressive to see the monument at night, approaching it from behind. We highly recommend this tour for anyone to get an in-depth explanation of the monuments. The pace was good and there was enough time at each monument; be prepared for quite a bit of walking too.

It was wonderful!!! So much to see and we had such a wonderful time. We had Rooster as our tour guide on 2 separate legs of our trip. He was always very friendly and upbeat both at the beginning if the day and at the end of the day, extremely knowledgeable, eat to understand and a pleasure to interact with! Would definitely try to go with him again.

Can choose to stop and visit sights on your own. Can just stay in trolley as you please . Guides very accommodating especially to those with wheelchairs .

An excellent blend of driving by things vs stopping & getting out, with an enthusiastic guide and comfortable transport. Pickup was really easy & the whole thing lasted just over 2 1/2 hours. Would recommend.

We had a really cool experience looking down at the White House. We watched Trump’s motorcade take him to the helicopter the watched as they took off.
